Milan was born in Obrenovac, in Serbia. His mother, Milena, divorced from hes husband when Milan was one year old. He inherited his talent in music from his grandfather.
1991 - 1992
His father died in prison when Milan was four years old and he grew up with his mother and his grandmother. He also claimed that he wanted to be a prince or a cowboy.
1993 - 2000
When his mother got married again, Milan got a younger sister, Nastasiju Djukic with whom, Milan had always had a great relationship. What is more, he had the tendency, from an early age, to be different. Milan, later, attended the drama and recitation sections.
2001 -2005

After fifteen years of marriage, his mother, Milena divorced from her second husband, who returned to Montenegro, because they had different views about the upbringing of children. In addition, this year, Milan started dying his hair blond.

However, the relationship between Milan and Rada came toan end as Milan claimed: "constant pressure from the media".
2009
In May, Milan's debut album, "Solo", came out with fast sales of 50 000 copies. Moreover, in September Milan restored his relationship with his girlfriend, Radmila as they went on a romantic jurney to Austria. In late October, the song "Fejs" appeared in video.
2007
After three years he gathered the courage to go on the music contest Zvezde Granda. Going to audition was his secret mission, because he wanted to say a mother or sister why go to Belgrade. The seven years older sister of his uncle Johnto brought him to the audition. Of the fourteen competing shows, Milan was even in the twelve and he was the first by the number of SMS votes of the audience. Although Milan didn't manage to get the first place on the music contest (he got the fourth place) he proved tho be the biggest star of the third season of Zvezde Granda .
2008
On Zvezde Granda, Milan met Radmila Manojlovic and they became good friends. As he later admitted, after SMS correspondence of the two of them, they both realized that they felt something more than friendship. However, because of the many speculations about his sexuality, their relationship was understood as a marketing gimmick.

In early February, Milan spent two weeks on his Australian tour. In March, he took part in "Tri pa jedan", where three different singers sang three different songs from Goran Bregovic (Emina Jahovic with "Ti kvariigro", Milan Stankovic with "Ovo je balkan" and Oliver Katic with "Predsednice halo") to represent Serbia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. So, after televoting Milan Stankovic won with 58,428 votes. In April, the spanish version of "Ovo je balkan" named "Balkaneros" came out. Then, he came 5th on the semi-final of eurovision and ,on the final, he got the 13th place.
